The LOCI architecture faculty sits in the middle of a city block in Tournai. Two industrial buildings and a convent that was used as a hospital were already there. The new building goes between them and ties everything together: the old structures are connected vertically and horizontally, and new outdoor spaces appear in the gaps.
The public functions are sheltered inside the block. These are the foyer and the auditorium, which people pass through and meet in.
