The church of Santa Eulàlia in Gironella was built in the mid-fourteenth century. Over six centuries its use changed more times than anyone could count. In 1971 the town council took the building back from its previous owner, who could no longer keep it up. It was in poor shape.
By 2016 the former church still had no proper services or facilities. The council decided to turn it into a space for dance, music and theatre, and Carles Enrich took on the adaptation.
