The plot is known locally as Bosc d'en Pep Ferrer, and it sits next to Migjorn beach on the south coast of Formentera. The only thing that cuts the horizon from here is the silhouette of the Pi des Català Tower, built in 1763.
Rock comes up to the surface right at the chosen spot. It was carved like a sculpture, and what came out is a cavity that looks like the old marès stone quarries. The whole space is made from a single stone. In his description the architect calls it monolithic, megalithic and stereotomic.
