An outpatient clinic for the Balearic health service IBSalut in Son Ferriol, Palma. On the outside it is an ochre box with rough plaster; the corner above the entrance overhangs as a canopy, and the windows are set deep into the wall. Part of the facade is covered by screens of vertical blocks, and in the sun each cell casts a slanting shadow.
The frame is made of glued laminated timber panels, the insulation is cork, and everything was assembled dry, so the building can later be taken apart. Light reaches deep into the building through small courtyards with deciduous trees: in summer they give shade, in winter they let the sun through.
