The teahouse sits on a slope where the Fuchun, Lanjiang and Xin'an rivers meet, and it is built entirely of concrete. Hangzhou has more than 700 teahouses, and the best views are usually around West Lake, but this one is in Jiuxing Village. Its Chinese name, 渔乡茶舍, roughly means "teahouse of the fishing country".
There are two buildings. The main one has several storeys and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountains. The second has open platforms, and a round slab of concrete was cut out of its roof, so at that spot there is only sky overhead.
