The chapel stands in the Ruhewald Schloss Tambach forest cemetery, in gently hilly country near Coburg. People are buried here among the trees, and the woodland is arranged like a landscape park.
Sacher Locicero take the chapel's proportions from the golden ratio, following Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. Inside, seven wooden arches rise upwards from the room.
