Christian Wassmann built a house for a young family around a boulder. The gray block of stone, taller than a person, lies right under the roof, at the edge of the terrace. A couple of meters from it stand a table and chairs where the owners are sitting.
The roof sags into a saddle and is clad underneath in light wood. On one side it hangs low over the rock; on the other it rises above a two-story glass wall that follows the curve. The blank walls are clad in boards that have turned gray, and behind the house are an autumn forest and mountains.
