In this house, the rock is not an obstacle but the foundation. Casa e a Pedra is built around a granite boulder that rises from the ground right inside the house. It is neither hidden nor worked around; it becomes the center of the composition.
Leite preserves what he found: a fragment of an old stone wall, the natural terrain, a courtyard with greenery. The interior is assembled from simple materials: wood, glass, concrete. The layout defers to the site and keeps a clear rhythm.
