Casa Martha stands where a house wrecked by the 2017 earthquake used to be. The site is a slope between Malinalco and Chalma, a pilgrimage destination. The walls are pale earthen Ecoblock brick, and the whole house is 45 square meters.
It is home to an elderly couple who have trouble walking and their two children, both over 42. The house was built under ReConstruir México, backed by PienZa Sostenible, which seventeen months after the quake was running more than 150 projects across six states.
